What if Mumbai face Similar disaster as that of Uttarakhand?
I am sure by now many articles and many many discussions have been done w.r.t disaster in Uttarakhand. Some says its a natural calamity and some termed it as Man Made Disaster…Whatever they call, but fact of the matter is that many many common people have lost their home. Aam aadmi ke mehnat se banaya hua Ghar.
All Gone!
Imagine, agar aisi hi calamity Mumbai me aayi aur aap sabke Ghar aapke pass nahi rahe, to kya ho ga?
Just think that house which you are living in right now is not there tomorrow and you are now stranded on street.
Scary…. Isnt it?

If God forbid this happens then what is your expectation from government? To build you house again? I dont think that will be possible. Even insurance company might not help you if it falls under “act of God”.

I am not writing this article to scare you but to make people aware that please make yourself aware about
your surroundings, check what all construction work is going on, notify to the concerned departments if you find it illegal or objectionable. It may not be that easy. May be your known source might be doing that concerned work but at that time you think of big picture n not who is doing that.
If we want to live in vibrant democracy then citizens active participation is utmost. Dont just think that government alone will be able to do all the things and put onus on it. Government is just our custodian.
Become an active citizen and be part of healthy democracy !!!
